Description

  • Course Content

Our four-day Year 12 English Advanced Autumn Holiday programs are skill-based modules that give HSC-style exam practice for the outgoing term’s work, and introduce the new term’s NESA syllabus so that our students stay ahead of their school peers.

We will unpack the Textual Conversations and Critical Studies NESA syllabus rubric, and discuss appropriate structure for this comparative essay. Students will grow familiar with key concepts such as intertextuality, appropriations, contextual values, and the significance of historical influence on their prescribed authors.

For the final two days, students will work through original practice exams for the common module, Texts and Human Experiences, and Paper 2 Module Exam which are valuable experience, since there are not many NESA past papers available. These exams test comprehension of unseen texts and essay writing in exam conditions.
